GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an oval. • Draw 1 horizontal line above the head. Add 1 more line at head height distance. • Draw 1 horizontal line under the head. Below it, add 2 more lines at the height of the head. • On the left and right sides of the head, draw a vertical line. STEP 3. Outline the ear, eyes and mouth. Make the silhouette of the dress more distinct. Add a palm.
STEP 4. Start drawing the hair. Add a nose and mouth to the shape of the face. Sketch the eyebrows and nostrils. Outline the hands. Erase any unnecessary auxiliary lines.
STEP 5. Finish with the shape of the head and hair. Add details to the eyes and ear. Work on the mouth. Draw sleeves and layers on the dress. Add a horizon line behind. Remove unnecessary lines.
STEP 6. Finish with the lips, eyes and ear. Add a few strands of hair on the back of the head and sideburns. Add folds on the dress and outline fingers.
STEP 7. Detail the drawing. Add more hair on the head. Draw pleats on the dress. Add some creases on the body.
STEP 8. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour woman, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
STEP 9. Colour in the picture and bring it to life. Enjoy your drawing!
