New Retro Domino Board Game

New Retro Domino Board Game

Rules of the game : This new game is played in a way very substantially consistent with that followed for the current game of dominoes. The difference is that instead of laying dominoes bearing similar dots end to end, players must lay dominoes end to end in such a way as to form words using the subjects placed in the place of the dots. A player will place, for example, the domino placed at the top of the page, and on which one sees on one side a station and on the other a pot: his opponent will have to place after this a second domino whose first subject , added to the one that ends the previous one, forms a word. For example, the domino on which we see handle and k. This assembly forms the word gallows (pot-handle) which binds, so to speak, the two dominoes together. The second subject (k) calls for a correspondence of the same kind, for example lily, with which we form the word chalice (k-lys), and so on. To play a game, each player takes, at random, a certain number of dominoes fixed in advance; his opponent(s) do the same. We draw lots to find out who will place the first, and the game begins, the players placing their dominoes according to the rules indicated. When a player does not have the dominoes needed to form a combination with the placed domino, he rummages through the supply of dominoes until he has found what he needs. The player who is the first to have no more dominoes in hand will be the winner and will score as many points as his opponents still have dominoes in hand. Of course, to play this game, it is necessary to cut out the dominoes that we publish and to glue them on a strong cardboard or pieces of wood.
