Rule of the game
Paste these two pages on a strong enough paper: drawing paper. Cut out the pieces following the outlines. Fold the dotted lines forwards and those marked with crosses (+++) backwards. Assemble the pieces, following the order of the numbers ri sticks on (1 on 1', 2 on 2' etc.) To make the toton: pass a match through the centre.
Place the cat on the “Chat” box (“Chat” means Cat) and the mouse on one of the numbered boxes corresponding to the number indicated by the toton.
The mouse starts the game. She can move forward or backward by the total number of points, as well as the cat.
The mouse cannot cross the striped squares and the cat the black squares.
The cat can ride the mouse, but the opposite is forbidden.
The mouse is bitten if the cat falls into the box where it is, or if itself falls into the cat's box.
On arrival at the hole, the mouse must draw the exact number of points to enter it, otherwise it moves back as many squares as there are excess points.
The Mouse has won if it manages to penetrate its hole.
