RULE OF THE GAME
We can be 3 or 4, or more. Everyone puts, I suppose, 10 dry beans in the box (10 beans being worth, for example, a penny) and we provide ourselves with tokens, to mark our place, like in a game of goose. We only use one die.
In the absence of dice, you will cut out the 6 squares that you see at the top, to the left of the drawing, and you will draw one of these small squares which will give you your point.
We start whoever starts first. There can be several on the same square.
Whoever gets to 7 goes to 19.
Whoever arrives at 12 is in the hot seat. Depending on the point it will bring, it will go towards good milk or falsified milk.
When his turn comes to play, if he brings 1, 3 or 5, he will stay on the good milk; if he brings 2, 4 or 6, he will leave by the lever of the pump, and, if, later, he does not have the chance to escape by the numbers which will be signaled to him later, he is sure of to lose. So, this well understood, let's continue with the one that remains on the good milk.
At 17, the crate gives him 2 beans; at 22, he gives 2 himself; on the 24th, each of the players gives him 2; at 26, it is the box which, this time, gives him 2; at 31, he pays 5 beans at the checkout; at 33, he goes back to position at 12, he again runs the bad luck of the pump; at number 36, we console him with 4 beans from the box; finally if he arrives just at 37, he wins the game and picks up the box; if he goes past 37, he will retrace his steps, then try again to get the final number and start again until he gets right, but beware of 33.
Now let's see the pump side. Leaving the 12, it goes, according to its point, on the 14, 16 or 18, from there it will continue on the numbers of the pump. On the 22nd, he pays 4 beans at the cashier; on the 25th, he pays 2 beans to each of the players, milk side or pump side; if he falls to 27, he is completely drowned by the water and retires from the game, leaving of course his beans in the bet.
If he arrives at 28, 29, etc., he will continue to play on the little milk boot: from 33, he will return to the 12 of the big box and he then has the chance of returning to the good milk; at 35, he can save himself if he brings the 6 which places him at 41.
There he can withdraw from the game or start again at number 1. If he exceeds 35, he will retrace his steps, then come back, until he lands right on 35. But he has a good chance of seeing one of the good milk players pocketing the cash.
