How to draw a Teddy bear
How to draw a Teddy bear
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Define the main proportions of Teddy’s figure and draw the shape of its head.
step-3
STEP 2. Outline Teddy’s body. Mark where the eyes, ears, and legs will be.
step-4
STEP 3. Draw the shapes of its legs.
step-5
STEP 4. Add guidelines for Teddy’s feet. Draw in detail its nose and ears.
step-6
STEP 5. Draw Teddy’s eyes, nose, mouth, belly, and the pads on its feet. Refine the shape of its ears.
step-7
STEP 6. Work on the whole figure, paying special attention to the details. Add the claws and stitches.
step-8
STEP 7. Contour the bear, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Draw the details carefully. Outline a shape for the blanket on which Teddy is seated. Erase all the guidelines.
