How to draw a rubber duck
How to draw a rubber duck
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the rubber duck. Draw an oval for the head of the toy. Draw a line, which will act as the center of its head and beak.
step-3
STEP 2. Draw the duck’s body. Add a smooth guideline through its chest.
step-4
STEP 3. Sketch the wing, beak and eye of the rubber duck.
step-5
STEP 4. Detail shapes for the eye and beak of the rubber duck. Add curved smooth guidelines for its neck.
step-6
STEP 5. With the help of the lines, finish drawing the shape of the toy.
step-7
STEP 6. Contour the rubber duck, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add the table. Erase all guidelines.
