How to draw a bighorn sheep
How to draw a bighorn sheep
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw two ovals that will help to define the places for the head and body of the bighorn sheep. Draw a line through the center of its head.
step-3
STEP 2. Sketch the neck and body of the bighorn sheep. Draw a guideline for its tail.
step-4
STEP 3. Add guidelines for the legs. Define places for the eyes and jaws.
step-5
STEP 4. Draw the legs, snout and add two curved lines for the horns.
step-6
STEP 5. Draw the horns and tail. Detail the legs and snout of the bighorn sheep.
step-7
STEP 6. Sketch the animal’s eye, ear and nose. Detail the neck and belly of the animal. Add bones to the legs.
step-8
STEP 7. Work on the shape of the head, eye, horns, paying attention to detail.
step-9
STEP 8. Contour the bighorn sheep, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add more detail, add the ground. Erase all guidelines.
