How to draw a blue bird
How to draw a blue bird
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw two ovals for the head and body of the blue bird. Draw a line, which will act as the center of the beak.
step-3
STEP 2. Draw the shape of the bird’s body. Add a smooth guideline for its tail and wings.
step-4
STEP 3. Define with guidelines the places for the legs and wing lining of the blue bird.
step-5
STEP 4. Sketch the legs, beak and tail coverts.
step-6
STEP 5. Add the toes of the blue bird. Draw its tail. Divide the beak into two parts.
step-7
STEP 6. Outline the shape of the wings, eye and beak.
step-8
STEP 7. Work on the whole figure, paying special attention to detail.
step-9
STEP 8. Contour the blue bird, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add more detail and add the ground. Erase all guidelines.
