How to draw an arctic wolf
How to draw an arctic wolf
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Determine the desired size of the animal you want to draw. Draw a circle and an Oval that will correspond to your wolf’s head and body respectively.
step-3
STEP 2. Using light strokes, mark the paws, belly and a chest. Draw a line of symmetry on the face.
step-4
STEP 3. With the help of your symmetry line, draw the animal’s eyes, ears and nose. Afterwards, draw a tail at the back side of the wolf.
step-5
STEP 4. Finish your work on the wolf’s paws.
step-6
STEP 5. Work attentively with the wolf’s fur. Make it longer or shorter depending on your preference. Short slanted strokes will make an illusion of a furry wolf.
step-7
STEP 6. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Do not forget to erase unnecessary lines and intensify your fur strokes. Afterwards, your wolf is ready!
