How to draw a Rooster
How to draw a Rooster
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw two ovals for the rooster’s head and body. Draw a line, which will act as the center of the head.
step-3
STEP 2. Define the neck and the body.
step-4
STEP 3. Draw guidelines for legs. Add a beak. Define the place for a wing.
step-5
STEP 4. Draw the comb and hocks. With a smooth line, delineate the direction of the tail.
step-6
STEP 5. Outline the general shapes of the comb points and shanks. Draw the wing and the tail.
step-7
STEP 6. Draw some lines for shanks and toes. Outline the central line of the beak, and the rooster’s feathers on its wings and back.
step-8
STEP 7. Work on the whole figure, paying attention to details.
step-9
STEP 8. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Draw more details and the ground. Erase all guidelines.
