How to draw a Cocker Spaniel
How to draw a Cocker Spaniel
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw an oval for the spaniel’s head. Draw two lines, one of which will act as the center of the head, and the second, which will act as shoulders.
step-3
STEP 2. Draw a circle for the body and a curved line to show its shape.
step-4
STEP 3. Define, with a line, the places for eyes and the shape of the body.
step-5
STEP 4. Add guidelines for the face and legs, showing their proportions.
step-6
STEP 5. Outline the shape of the legs.
step-7
STEP 6. Draw the spaniel’s ears, nose, eyes and tail. Add toes.
step-8
STEP 7. Work on the whole figure, paying attention to details (such as the shape of the fur).
step-9
STEP 8. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Draw the fur, some details and the ground. Erase all guidelines.
