How to draw a pineapple
How to draw a pineapple
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the pineapple. Draw an oval for the fruit. Add a line, which will act as the center of it.
step-3
STEP 2. With an oval, define the “bottom” of the crown. Draw a guideline for it and define its general shape.
step-4
STEP 3. Add more lines to show the shape of the pineapple. Delineate guidelines for the lower level of the leaves.
step-5
STEP 4. Continue adding guidelines for leaves, moving from bottom to top.
step-6
STEP 5. Define the shapes for the rest of the leaves, making the lowest the most curved.
step-7
STEP 6. Finish with the leaves.
step-8
STEP 7. Work on the whole figure, paying special attention to details.
step-9
STEP 8. Contour the pineapple, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Add more details and a table. Erase all guidelines.
