How to draw a realistic dragon
How to draw a realistic dragon
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
STEP 1. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw two ovals, which will become the head and a body of the dragon. Define the shape of the dragon’s head.
step-3
STEP 2. Define the shape of the neck. Add smooth guidelines for the wings of the golden dragon.

STEP 3. With light smooth lines, draw the general shapes of the foreleg and thigh that are closest to us.
step-5
STEP 4. Outline the shapes of the neck and tail.
step-6
STEP 5. Delineate the lower thighs and the second foreleg and jaws.
step-7
STEP 6. Add toes and a tail point (spade).
step-8
STEP 7. Draw the horns on the face and the eyes. Define with, straight lines, the webs. Add details and more lines to the body and feet.
step-9
STEP 8. Contour the golden dragon, adding some details. Erase all the guidelines.
