How to draw Woman from the lunch on the grass by Edouard Manet

GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an ovals. • Draw 1 horizontal line above the head. Above it, draw 1 line equal to the height of the head. • Draw 1 horizontal line under the head. Below it, add 4 more lines equal to the height of the head. • On the left and right sides of the head, draw a vertical line. Draw from them to the sides: -on the left , 1 line equal to the width of the head; -on the right, 3 lines equal to the width of the head plus 1 line equal to 1/3 the width of the head

STEP 1. Change the shape of the head. Draw auxiliary lines and shapes for the woman's body. Erase the excess.

STEP 2. Separate the face with lines. Sketch an arm with a palm and shoulder joint. Draw a leg with a foot.

STEP 3. Mark the eyes. Draw the girl's body and erase the auxiliary lines.

STEP 4. Draw the facial features. Add an arm and a leg. Erase excess lines.

STEP 5. Complement the eyes and lips. Draw hair. Adjust the toes. Draw the breasts

STEP 6. Draw a cap and earring for the girl. Detail the face. Sketch the bedspread under the girl. Finish the fingers and toes.

STEP 7. Add pleats all over the body and coverlet. Detail the hat. Draw the nails

STEP 8. Finish the whole picture by adding creases to the bedspread and hair.

STEP 9. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour girl, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.

STEP 10. Colour in the picture and bring it to life. Enjoy your drawing.
