GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a vertical rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the upper boundary of the rectangle draw two vertical lines that will divide the rectangle by 3 equal parts. 3) From the middle of the right boundary of the rectangle, draw one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 4) Draw a horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle.

STEP 1. Outline the troll's head and body.

STEP 2. Add moulds for the head and feet. Erase redundant lines.

STEP 3. Draw auxiliary lines for the legs and arms.

STEP 4. Outline the head. Add the silhouette of the mace.

STEP 5. Draw the arms and legs. Sketch a circle on the body for the shield. Erase any excess auxiliary lines.

STEP 6. Draw horns, feet and fingers. Draw the eyes and mouth. Add shoulder pads.

STEP 7. Detail the eyes. Draw teeth and nose. Finish the boots and add straps for the ammunition.

STEP 8. Work the troll in full. Make the bottom of the skirt torn and add folds. Add spikes to the shoulder pads and mace. Draw a skull on the shield.

STEP 9. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour troll, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Enjoy your drawing!
