How to draw an alien spaceship
How to draw an alien spaceship from Vehicles & transport
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
GRID STEP. Mark off the width and height of the picture, and the main proportions of the spaceship. Use a semicircle to show the shape of the cabin.
step-3
GRID STEP. Add the guidelines for the spaceship. Mark the place where the alien’s head will be.
step-4
GRID STEP. Draw the general shape of the spaceship, and the antenna on top of the cabin and the alien’s head.
step-5
GRID STEP. Outline the alien’s torso, neck, eyes, and the top of its antenna.
step-6
GRID STEP. Add the alien’s arms. Refine the shape of its antenna.
step-7
GRID STEP. Work on the whole figure, adding more detail.
step-8
GRID STEP. Contour the spaceship. To do this, try to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Draw the details carefully, and add stars outside the spaceship. Erase all the guidelines.
