How to draw a bamboo from Plants
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

GRID STEP. Mark off the width and height of the picture. With smooth lines, show the direction of bamboo stems.

GRID STEP. Draw some basic lines denoting the general shape of the stems.

GRID STEP. With the smooth line, show the direction of bamboo leaves.

GRID STEP. Draw the shapes of the lower parts of the leaves.
step-6
GRID STEP. Delineate the shapes of the upper parts of the leaves. Show with ovals the tops of the stems.
step-7
GRID STEP. Draw some additional lines to indicate the bamboo stems.
step-8
GRID STEP. Work on the whole shape and figure, adding more details.
step-9
GRID STEP. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Add some extra details. Erase all guidelines.
