How to draw a Bald Eagle
How to draw a Bald Eagle from Animals
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
GRID STEP. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Mark the general proportions of the bald eagle. Draw an oval that will serve as the basic shape for the head of the bird. Add a line through the center of its beak.
step-3
GRID STEP. Outline the shape of the body. Draw guidelines for the body and a tail.
step-4
GRID STEP. Draw the neck and wings of the bald eagle.
step-5
GRID STEP. Add some lines to show a row of feathers on the wings, the tail and the center of the beak.
step-6
GRID STEP. Delineate the beak shape; add some feathers to the wings and tail.
step-7
GRID STEP. Work on the whole shape and figure, adding more details. Pay special attention to the eyes and legs of the bald eagle.
step-8
GRID STEP. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Add some extra details such as ground or grass. Erase all guidelines.
