How to draw Venus sleeping by Giorgione
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an ovals. • Draw 1 horizontal line above the head. Above it, draw 1 line equal to the height of the head plus one line equal to half the height of the head. • Draw 1 horizontal line under the head. Below it, add 3 more lines equal to the height of the head plus 1 line equal to half the height of the head. • On the left and right sides of the head, draw a vertical line. Draw from them to the sides: -on the left, 1 line equal to the width of the head; -on the right, 8 lines equal to the width of the head plus 1 line equal to 1/3 the width of the head.

GRID STEP. Outline arms and legs with feet. Draw circles where the joints are.
GRID STEP. Divide the face with lines. Outline the body and draw auxiliary lines.
GRID STEP. Mark out the face. Draw circles for the chest and ovals for the arm. Outline the bedding.
GRID STEP. Draw a hand with a palm. Add creases to the bed linen. Remove excess lines.
GRID STEP. Draw hair and folds on the girl's body. Complete the bed linen with creases.
GRID STEP. Add wavy hair. Detail the girl's body. Finish with the bedding.
GRID STEP. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour girl, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
