GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an ovals. • Draw 1 horizontal line above the head. Above it, draw another line much narrower. • Draw 1 horizontal line under the head. Below it, add 6 more lines equal to the height of the head plus 1 line equal to half the height of the head. • On the left and right sides of the head, draw a vertical line. Draw from them to the sides: -on the left, 3 lines equal to the width of the head; -on the right, 3 lines equal to the width of the head plus one line equal to half the width of the head. • Draw another head at the intersection of the two rectangles below the first oval.

GRID STEP. Draw figures and auxiliary lines for the bodies of the characters.

GRID STEP. Outline the arms and legs of the characters. Add feet for the boy and palms for the man. Add circles on the man's arms.

GRID STEP. Divide the man's face with lines. Draw silhouettes of clothing for both of them. Erase unnecessary lines and shapes.

GRID STEP. Draw the man's eyes. Add elements of clothing and shoes. Erase the extra lines.

GRID STEP. Sketch a face for the man and an eye for the boy. Add elements of clothes and shoes. Draw the man's fingers. Mark the line of the ground.

GRID STEP. Draw the man's beard and hair. Also sketch his sleeves. Add creases on the clothes. Outline the guy's toes. Erase all the excess.

GRID STEP. Drape the picture with dashes on the bodies and clothing.

GRID STEP. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour mans, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.

GRID STEP. Colour in the picture and bring it to life. Enjoy your drawing.
