How to draw a swordman
How to draw a swordman from Warrior
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a vertical rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the upper boundary of the rectangle draw two vertical lines that will divide the rectangle by 3 equal parts. 3) From the middle of the right boundary of the rectangle, draw one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 4) Draw a horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle.
step-2
GRID STEP. Decide on the size of the swordman. Draw the figures that will represent the head, body and feet.
step-3
GRID STEP. Outline the lower body with lines for the legs.
step-4
GRID STEP. Sketch the clear shape of the arms and legs. Erase redundant lines.
step-5
GRID STEP. Draw the eyes. Separate the arms and head from the body. Make the edges of the jacket and boots wavy.
step-6
GRID STEP. Draw a sword in the centre. Add a line for the mouth.
step-7
GRID STEP. Draw a protective hoop on the swordfish's forehead. Add a hilt to the sword. Erase the auxiliary lines.
step-8
GRID STEP. Draw ears, fingers and bags under the eyes. Detail the sword.
step-9
GRID STEP. Completely finish the image. Add reflections on the protective hoop and sword. Draw patterns to the chain mail.
step-10
GRID STEP. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour swordmen, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Enjoy your drawing!
