GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
Draw a square which will act as the frame of the squirrel portrait.

GRID STEP. Outline the general shape of the head and the upper body of the squirrel.

GRID STEP. Sketch the ears. Detail the upper body. Erase inner lines of the head.

GRID STEP. Detail the ears. Sketch the eyes and the nose.

GRID STEP. Detail the eyes and mouth. Erase redundant lines.
step-6
GRID STEP. Work on the whole figure of the squirrel, adding more details to the eyes and teeth.

GRID STEP. Color the eyes and the nose.
